Copyright takedown notices follow the specific process on our DMCA page; everything else starts here.
\n
\n
At a glance
\n
\n
The Honeyshirt name, our original tee designs, mock-ups, photos and text belong to Honeyshirt or our licensors.
\n
Sharing links to our products is welcome; copying designs or images is not.
\n
Buying a tee lets you wear, gift or resell that tee, but not reproduce its design.
\n
We do not knowingly print team logos, brand marks, celebrity likenesses or characters without permission.
\n
Report concerns to support@honeyshirt.com with the subject “IP concern”; we acknowledge within 1 business day and review within 5 business days.
\n
\n
\n
1. What belongs to Honeyshirt
\n
Unless stated otherwise, the following content on honeyshirt.com is owned by Honeyshirt or used under licence:
\n
\n
the Honeyshirt name, wordmark and any logo or icon we use for the store;
\n
original T-shirt designs, typography layouts and illustrations shown on product pages;
\n
product mock-ups, photographs and lifestyle images;
\n
product descriptions, size guidance, care advice, policies and other page text;
\n
the selection, arrangement and presentation of the site, and its code.
\n
\n
This content is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws in the United States and in the other countries where we sell, including Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
\n
2. What you are welcome to do
\n
\n
Browse, view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use, for example printing the Size Guide to measure a shirt at home.
\n
Share links to our product and category pages on social media, in messages or on your blog.
\n
Post photos of yourself or your family wearing a Honeyshirt tee you bought.
\n
Quote short extracts of our text with a link back to the original page.
\n
Wear, gift, lend or resell a physical Honeyshirt tee you own.
\n
\n
3. What you may not do
\n
\n
Copy, trace, redraw or reprint our designs on any product, whether for sale or “just for friends”.
\n
Upload our mock-ups or photos to marketplaces, print-on-demand platforms or other stores, or use them to advertise products that are not ours.
\n
Use the Honeyshirt name, or anything confusingly similar, in a way that suggests you are us or are connected with us, including in domain names, social handles or ads.
\n
Scrape or bulk-download the site with automated tools, except normal search-engine indexing.
\n
Create derivative designs from our artwork without written permission.
\n
\n
4. Our trademarks
\n
Honeyshirt and our logo are used by us to identify our store and products. Other names, team names, brand names and marks that may be mentioned on the site, for example in a description of what a tee pairs well with, belong to their respective owners. Their mention does not mean those owners endorse or are connected with Honeyshirt, and we do not use them as design elements without permission.
\n
5. How we keep our range clean
\n
Graphic tees sit close to pop culture, sports and humour, so we have clear rules for what goes into the Honeyshirt range:
\n
\n
Sports: our game-day designs celebrate being a fan in general terms. We do not print official league, team or university logos, mascots or protected team artwork without a licence.
\n
Brands and characters: we do not reproduce company logos, cartoon or film characters, or album artwork we do not have rights to.
\n
People: we do not put real public figures’ names or likenesses on tees in ways that suggest endorsement or exploit their identity.
\n
Slogans: before using a phrase as a main design, we check that it is not a registered trademark for clothing.
\n
Artwork sources: fonts, illustrations and stock elements are used only under licences that allow merchandise use.
\n
\n
No checking process is perfect. If something slips through, section 7 explains how to tell us, and we act quickly rather than defending a design we cannot justify.
\n
6. Personalized orders and customer uploads
\n
When customers personalize a tee with their own photo or text, they promise under our Terms of Service that they have the right to use that content. We refuse personalization that obviously uses someone else’s logo, team artwork, characters or celebrity images, even for private orders. A photo of your own dog is perfect; a screenshot of a team’s official logo is not. If you are not sure whether something you want printed is allowed, email us before ordering and we will tell you honestly.
\n
7. How to report an intellectual property concern
\n
Email support@honeyshirt.com with the subject “IP concern”, or write to Honeyshirt, 231 Oxford Ave, Sugar Grove, IL 60554, United States. Please include:
\n
\n
your name and contact details, and your relationship to the rights owner (owner, employee, lawyer or agent);
\n
the right you believe is affected, for example a trademark registration number and country, a design registration, or a description of the publicity right;
\n
the URL of each Honeyshirt product or page concerned;
\n
a short explanation of why you believe it infringes;
\n
a statement that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to act for the rights owner.
\n
\n
For copyright in artwork, photos or text, please use the process on our DMCA page, which asks for a few additional legal statements.
\n
8. What happens after you report
\n
\n
Intellectual property report handling
\n
\n
\n
Stage
\n
Timing
\n
Outcome
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
Acknowledgement
\n
Within 1 business day
\n
We confirm receipt and ask for anything missing.
\n
\n
\n
Review
\n
Within 5 business days of a complete report
\n
We check the registration or right, our design records and licences.
\n
\n
\n
Action
\n
Promptly after a valid report
\n
The design is removed or changed, unprinted orders are stopped, and the product is withdrawn from sale.
\n
\n
\n
Follow-up
\n
At the time of action
\n
We tell you what was changed and, where relevant, how future designs will be checked.
\n
\n
\n
\n
If we believe the report is mistaken, for example because the design is our original work created before your mark was registered, or the mark is registered for unrelated goods, we explain our reasons and invite you to respond. Customers who ordered a design that we withdraw are contacted and offered an alternative or a full refund.
\n
9. If someone is copying Honeyshirt
\n
If you find our designs or photos on another site or marketplace, or someone pretending to be Honeyshirt, for example a fake social account or a look-alike domain, please send us the link. It helps us protect customers from counterfeit tees and phishing. We never ask customers for passwords or card details by email or social media.
\n
10. Permission requests
\n
We are happy to consider requests to feature our designs in press coverage, gift guides or creator content. Email us with who you are, where the content will appear, and which images or designs you want to use. Permission is granted only in writing and only for the specific use described. Licensing our designs for other merchandise is not generally available.
\n
11. Ideas, suggestions and design requests
\n
Customers often send us design ideas: a phrase their family always says, a theme for a birthday, a request for a sport we do not cover yet. We love hearing them. Please understand that we may already be working on something similar, and that if we create a design inspired by a general idea, we do not owe compensation for it. We never publish your personal information, photos or family details in connection with an idea without your permission. If you have created finished artwork you want to sell, that is a different conversation; contact us before sending files.
\n
12. Reviews, comparisons and resale listings
\n
You may mention Honeyshirt by name in an honest review, a comparison with other tee shops, or a video about your order, and you may show the tee you bought. You may also resell a Honeyshirt tee you own on a second-hand platform and describe it accurately as a Honeyshirt tee, using your own photos of that physical shirt. What you may not do is use our product images or our name to sell newly printed copies, or describe an unrelated product as “Honeyshirt”.
\n
13. Examples
\n
A fan wants their team’s logo on a custom tee
\n
A customer asks us to print an official team crest with their name underneath. We decline the logo because we do not hold a licence, and suggest a design in team colours with their name and a number instead, which captures the game-day spirit without using protected artwork.
\n
A clothing brand flags a slogan
\n
A company sends its trademark registration for a phrase used on one of our tees. We confirm the registration covers clothing in the United States, withdraw the design within our review period, stop unprinted orders and offer affected customers an alternative or a refund. We then add the phrase to the list we check before new designs go live.
\n
Someone copies a Honeyshirt design
\n
A customer spots one of our designs, with our mock-up photo, on a marketplace listing at half the price. They send us the link; we confirm it is our artwork and use the marketplace’s own reporting tools to have the listing removed, and we thank the customer for helping protect other shoppers from a copy of unknown quality.
\n
A photographer asks about a lifestyle image
\n
A photographer believes a lifestyle photo on one of our category pages is his. Because this is a copyright question about a photo, we point him to the DMCA process, but we do not wait for a perfect notice before checking: we look up the licence for that image the same day, and if we cannot show we are entitled to use it, we take it down while the review continues.
\n
14. Changes to this policy
\n
We may update this policy as our range grows or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version.
\n
15.
